keywords in url for google not so important?

Ive read somewhere, maybe here that keywords in the url are not so important for google ranking but are for yahoo?

Is this true?

IM so new to this! Id love to know in a few words ( if anyone one would be so kind) whats the most important thing to have sorted for good SEO? keyword density? inbound links?

Seo gurus are divided over whether using the keywords in the domain name makes any difference in seo or not but all of them agree that having it helps because when you have links pointing to your site with your domain name as anchor text , the link is actually also using your keyword as anchor text and hence, your search engine listing for that keyword goes up.So yes, given the choice , it's better to have the main keyword in the domain name.

I dont have any idea about this but i have noticed one thing: even if the keyword lies in url, the site is not ranked accordingly.i usually dont use yahoo,so cant say about it.

Keywords in URL is very important compared to other two search engines

Google give more importance to keyowrds in the domain name.
