A 0–100 score from Ahrefs that estimates the strength of a domain's backlink profile, calculated from Ahrefs' own crawl of the web. Often abbreviated DR. Calculated on a logarithmic scale: moving from DR 70 to 80 represents far more link equity than moving from 20 to 30. Like Moz's Domain Authority, DR is a third-party metric, not a Google signal — useful for comparing sites within the Ahrefs index but easily inflated by low-quality link buying. Used by SEOs as a quick proxy for link-profile strength when prospecting outreach targets or evaluating expired domains.
