LocalBusiness Schema

LocalBusiness Schema is a schema.org subtype of Organization used to describe a physical business location, incorporating properties such as name, address (via PostalAddress), telephone, openingHoursSpecification, geo (latitude/longitude), priceRange, and servesCuisine for restaurants. Correctly implemented LocalBusiness markup helps Google associate a web page with a specific place entity, improving consistency between the site and any associated Google Business Profile, which in turn can strengthen local pack eligibility and knowledge panel accuracy. The openingHoursSpecification property is particularly useful for surfacing current open/closed status in search results. LocalBusiness is a broad supertype with over 200 schema.org subtypes — including Restaurant, MedicalBusiness, LodgingBusiness, and AutoDealer — which allow more precise categorisation. Conflicting address or phone data between on-page markup and other local citations can confuse entity resolution.
