Top Stories is a [SERP Feature](/glossary/serp-feature) that displays a carousel of recent news articles prominently near the top of Google search results for news-related or trending queries. Appearing in Top Stories can deliver substantial short-term traffic. Eligibility requires the page to be indexed quickly (Google recommends submitting via the Indexing API for news), use valid Article [Structured Data](/glossary/structured-data) with a large image, and meet Google News content policies. AMP is no longer required for inclusion — any fast, mobile-friendly page is eligible.
