A zero-click search is one where the user gets their answer directly on the results page and does not click through to any website. This happens when Google shows a [featured snippet](/glossary/featured-snippet), a knowledge panel, a calculator, a weather result, or a definition that fully satisfies the query. Studies suggest well over half of all Google searches now result in zero clicks to any external site.
