PRAM (Parameter Random Access Memory) is a kind of Macintosh memory that is used for system setting storage, these are things like time settings. All Macs have PRAM but the settings will be different on different Macs. If you find that your Mac is not behaving normally you could try resetting the PRAM and this is done by P,R, command and Option keys at the same time as you turn the Mac on. When the startup chimes for the second time the PRAM has been reset although it is important to note that you will have to reset the time etc once you have done this.
