Product Schema

Product Schema is a schema.org structured data type applied to product pages to communicate key attributes — name, image, description, SKU, brand, offer price, currency, availability, and condition — to search engines in a machine-readable format. When implemented correctly using JSON-LD, Google can surface product rich results in Search, including price, availability, and star ratings derived from attached Review or AggregateRating markup. Google tightened Product rich result policies in 2023, requiring that offers (price and availability) be present for a product page to qualify for enhanced treatment in standard organic results. Merchant Centre feed data can now supplement on-page markup, and Google’s Shopping Graph draws on both sources. Errors or mismatches between visible page content and structured data — such as a price in markup that differs from the displayed price — can trigger a manual action.
